As part of Alex House’s efforts to promote sustainability, we are hosting a Community Yard Sale on April 13. This is a great opportunity to declutter your spaces and find a new home for all your pre-loved household items!

As we have a limited number of vendor tables available, priority will be given to families and community members who are looking for a sustainable option to get rid of items that they no longer need. Approved vendors should consider selling at accessible prices so that we can give a second life to as many items as possible. This event is not suited for resellers looking to sell antique or vintage items at “collector’s price”. We ask all artisans and small business owners looking to sell their products to apply as vendors for our Holiday Craft Fair (occurs mid-November) or Alex Fest (occurs end of May).  

Event Details:

When: Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 10AM - 3PM (Set-up begins at 9AM)
Where: Alex House Dining Hall - 2916 McBride Avenue (Crescent Beach)

Vendor Rules & Responsibilities:

  • Vendor tables are reserved for selling second-hand items only (ex. small furniture, home décor, clothes, trinkets, books). Approved vendors should consider selling at accessible prices so that we can give a second life to as many items as possible.

  • Alex House will provide one 6 ft table and a few chairs for each vendor. Additional space can be requested, but it is not guaranteed. We also have a limited number of trolleys available at a first-come, first-serve basis to aid with transporting goods from your car. Please bring any additional equipment you might need (ex. additional displays, price tags, cash float).

  • Please ensure you have someone supervising your table at all times. Alex House is not responsible for any lost or stolen property.

  • At the end of the yard sale, vendors can leave behind any items that they would like to donate to Big Brothers of Greater Vancouver.

To participate as a vendor, please fill out the application below. Once you are approved, you will be emailed a link to purchase a vendor table for $25 (non-refundable).
