Whether you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle or bring the community together, our facility rentals are something you won’t want to miss. With two locations on the beach, there are no better venue options in the Surrey and White Rock area. Though there is a great deal of history in both of these locations, we’ve taken great care to give them a contemporary upgrade without losing their charm.
Event venues with a purpose.
The Alex House Retreat & Event Centre is operated as a social enterprise in support of our purpose-driven work in the Surrey and White Rock communities. The resources generated from this property go towards maintaining the historic Crescent Beach facility. Established in 1916, Crescent Beach and many of our buildings are considered historically significant.
Proceeds also allow us to offset our infrastructure costs so that we can continue to support our childcare programs, the Youth Space, and grassroots-driven initiatives like the Community Gardens, Alex Fest and Summer Fun Nights. All of these initiatives help Alex House foster stronger communities.

Camp Alex
Just steps from the beach, this venue is diverse, rustic and quirky. It provides accessible multi-purpose halls and dining areas, peaceful activity and meeting rooms, an outdoor stage, a festive lounge, guest rooms, dorms and cabins surrounding a large, open green space.
Beecher Place
Right on the beach, Beecher Place offers an inspiring space for more intimate gatherings—a space decorated by stunning views of sand, sea and sky. Soak up the unobstructed panorama from the picture windows and the elegant wrap-around balcony.

Community Rental Groups
Alex House provides rental space for external program providers who accept registration from interested participants. These are often community members whose passions can benefit from the beautiful spaces our venues are located in.
