Shannon Formo
Shannon is a dedicated Employee Wellness Educator, Consultant, and Coach with over 25 years of experience working with victims of crime, particularly those impacted by violent crimes. Hercareer has been shaped by her passion for supporting society's most vulnerable and marginalized
individuals—those she refers to as “people who have been forgotten.”In addition to her professional endeavors, Shannon is an advocate for the autism community, working tirelessly to promote equality, diversity, and inclusion. She focuses on holding systems accountable and ensuring that barriers do not impede opportunities for individuals with autism.
Shannon is proud to have recently joined Alex House as a community board member. She brings her years of experience and dedication to support Alex House’s mission of providing inclusive programs and initiatives, with a particular focus on fostering strong relationships with the Semiahmoo First Nation and addressing diverse community needs.
A South Surrey resident, Shannon enjoys spending time with her son, friends, and neighbors. She loves baking, participating in walking groups, golfing, and attending outdoor activities and community events.
