We're hoping to establish a Free Little Library at Camp Alexandra, building on an international initiative of small libraries popping up on street corners, in phone booths (if you can still find one!) and in all kinds of unexpected places, offering unlimited community access to collections of books. Children aren’t the only ones who love to be read to! Enjoy an informal evening of familiar and favourite poetry and prose for unaccompanied adults and families with children ages 6 and up on Wednesday, March 6, 7 to 8:30 pm in the Dining Hall (upstairs) at Camp Alexandra. Register at 604-535-0015.
Join us Wednesday, February 6th at noon for a Valentines Day Lunch. The menu is scrumptious: Pork Roast Stuffed with Prunes, Steamed Carrots, Roasted Baby Potatoes, Dijon Mustard Sauce, Valentine Cupcakes, Tea and Coffee. And we'll have a guest speaker from the Heart & Stroke Foundation.

Whew! When this community gets charged up with ideas and energy there is no stopping you! It has been fabulous to hear all the ideas flying around and new connections being made. We've had some great conversations since our Open House , and many more juicy "ideas sessions" will be coming soon.
