After a two-year break, Neighbourhood Fun Nights return to Camp Alex! Join us in the Centennial Plaza for dinner, live music, kids' activities, and more! The suggested cost is $10/adults and $5/kids 12 and under. This covers the cost of delivering the program, but no one is turned away for lack of funds. Pay more if you can, less if you can't.
Do you want to improve your English reading and conversation skills? Would you like to meet new people and be introduced to English-language novels and literature? Join retired English professor Moira Tobin for a summer-long book club! Participants will read a book together and then discuss it weekly as a group.
The Alexandra Festival is our signature community event, attracting nearly 2,000 people to Alex House every year on the last Saturday in May. Enjoy a variety of family activities, browse the artisans and crafters booths and admire (and purchase!) their gifts, treasures and must-have items of every type and description.
Alex House is honoured to partner with our neighbours in presenting Repair Café! This is an opportunity for folks to share and learn skills to maintain and repair their tools, toys, appliances, and equipment.
In this issue, AGM, Summer Wrap-Up, Sharing Our Journeys, LOVE Lower Mainland, Lit Café, Celebrating Community Lunch, Fall Programs and events, Parent Ed Programs, Letter from the ED, Youth Space Updates, Youth KRU and lots more!
